We will be closing the venue at the end of the year this has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make in a very long time. 8 years ago I fell into this whole rehearsal business thing and saw a need an an opportunity for a local original venue space for the amazing music scene in the new West area. Our intention was to provide a space that bands and artists could access without being taken advantage of. We did a good job of it between the Front and Bullys for 6 years but as costs have increased, I’ve had to make decisions that began to compromise those principles. That has been difficult for me to do as a long time musician that believes music and art has value. To continue the venue with the increasing pressures to generate revenue would be to start having to compromise those values further and frankly I’d like to be able to look in a mirror. The time, money and effort we’ve put into the studio has left us with financial, personal and health problems and frankly we can’t afford to keep going as we have been emotionally, physically and financially. Between declining sales, lack of public interest and personal health issues Victoria and I just don’t have it in us anymore to keep the shows happening at Bullys but want to finish the year by celebrating want we and you have helped Bullys achieve. If you want to play Bullys the time to hit us up is now, I’m planning on running shows every night until the end of year if there is enough interest in playing. We will continue to provide jam rooms and will look at adapting the main floor into jam rooms to at least provide that service to the community. I want to thank each and every person that has supported or played here thank you thank you for being part of this. We have 6 months let’s make some history while we still can.
